The recording of the Regional Gas Market Development Workshop and workshop presentations have been published

A series of webinars on the regional market development continued on 30th of October, when Gasgrid Finland together with Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian transmission system operators organized a virtual workshop on “Regional Gas Market Development #1”.

The objective of regional market integration is to develop a well-functioning, supply-secure, reliable, cost-effective, compliant, transparent and non-discriminatory Finnish-Baltic gas market with effective management and services that meet market participants’ requirements. To achieve this, the key theme in the workshops is interactivity. The workshop covered the concepts of a common tariff area and a common balance area, the results of flow modeling in the Finland-Baltic area carried out jointly by Gasgrid Finland and the Baltic transmission system operators, and the market participant’s experiences of operating in three market areas.

The webinar series will continue on Friday 6th of November from 9:00 to 11:00, when Gasgrid Finland together with the Baltic transmission system operators organizes a “Regional Gas Market Development #2” workshop. The agenda and registration link for the workshop will be published on our website during the first part of the week.
