Energy Authority organizes the public consultation on Gasgrid Finland’s terms and conditions regarding transmission services and the capacity allocation mechanism at Balticconnector
The Finnish Energy Authority organizes a public consultation on the terms and conditions regarding gas transmission services, as well as the capacity allocation mechanism at Balticconnector. Market participants and stakeholders are invited to submit their opinios by 13th of November 2020.
Gasgrid Finland Oy has submitted the updated terms and conditions of transmission services and the capacity allocation mechanism at Balticconnector for Energy Authority’s approval. Before making the final decisions, Energy Authority provides the opportunity for all market participants and stakeholders to participate in the public consultation. Webinars on gas market integration in the Finland-Baltic region – Webinar series continues 6th of November at 9:00-11:00
Gasgrid Finland organized a “Market Design” webinar on 8 October. In the webinar the concept models of market integration and interesting cases on already implemented market integration from European markets were presented. A series of webinars on regional market development continued on Friday, October 30th, when Gasgrid Finland together with the transmission system operators of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania organized a virtual workshop on “Regional Gas Market Development #1”. The workshop covered, among other things, the concepts of a common tariff area and a common balance area, the results of flow modeling in the Finland-Baltic area carried out jointly by Gasgrid Finland and the Baltic transmission system operators, and the market participant’s experiences of operating in three market areas.
The goal of developing the regional market is to develop a well-functioning, secure, reliable, cost-effective, compliant, transparent and non-discriminatory gas market. To achieve this goal, the key theme in the webinars is customer orientation, which is one of Gasgrid’s key strategic priorities.

Reminder of the consultation organized by Gasgrid Finland regarding information in accordance with Article 30 of the Tariff Network Code and Gasgrid Finland’s price list 2021
Gasgrid Finland organizes a consultation on the price list of Gasgrid Finland in 2021, and the information in accordance with the article 30 of Tariff Network Code.
According to the Natural Gas Market Act, the rights and obligations of the transmission system operator to set transmission prices for 2021 are limited to the system’s internal entry and exit points. For cross-border points of the gas system, the Energy Authority, sets transmission prices. In parallel with this consultation, the Energy Authority organizes a consultation on reference prices for cross-border entry and exit points.

The written opinions can be submitted by 5th of November 23:59 EET. The final tariffs for the period 1.1.-31.12.2021 will be published by 30.11.2020.

The Energy Authority consults stakeholders on the cross-border tariffs proposed by Gasgrid Finland until 6th of November 2020. The consultation concerns charges and conditions of the transmission system.
