The Finnish Energy Authority organizes a public consultation on the Gas Market Handbook provided by Gasgrid Finland

The Finnish Energy Authority organizes a consultation on the Gas Market Handbook, which is referred to in the Government Decree on the Settlement and Measurement of Natural Gas Supply (1008/2019).

The Handbook includes the rules on balance responsibility, settlement of natural gas deliveries and measurement of natural gas deliveries in the natural gas system. The procedures of the Handbook are binding for system operators, LNG system operators and natural gas market participants provided that there are no provisions in EU legislation or in national legislation that deviate from the Handbook.

The updated Handbook will enter into force on 1 January 2021, when the currently applicable Handbook is valid until the end of this year. The opinions must be submitted to the Energy Authority no later than 16 December 2020.

More information about the consultation can be found here (available only in Finnish): https://energiavirasto.fi/-/kuuleminen-gasgrid-finland-oy-n-yllapitamasta-kaasumkinoiden-saantokasikirjasta
