Gasgrid Finland has been granted an EUR 80 million sustainability linked loan

The loan, granted by OP Corporate Bank, is tied to Gasgrid Finland’s sustainability programme.

The loan received by Gasgrid Finland is tied to three key indicators of the company’s sustainability programme: supply outages, personnel accidents, and direct greenhouse emissions.

The target for the number of unplanned outages is zero and the baseline is 2020, when there were no unplanned outages. The target is to continue to keep the number of accidents leading to employee absences at zero. The reduction target for direct greenhouse gases will be set in early 2022, once the average for the 2020–2021 baseline years is known. The aim is to systematically cut Gasgrid’s direct greenhouse emissions.

“Responsibility is key to Gasgrid’s operations, so the loan tied to our sustainability programme is a natural part of our future and brings even more tangibility to the implementation of our strategy,” comments Gasgrid Finland’s CFO Petri Dahlström.
