Early warning state declared at the Finnish gas market on 6 May 2022

A Finnish competent authority, the National Emergency Supply Agency, has declared an early warning state at the Finnish gas market on 6 May 2022. The reason for the decision is the risen uncertainty regarding Russian gas deliveries.

The Finnish Transmission System Operator with system responsibility, Gasgrid Finland, is monitoring the functionality of the Finnish gas system and market. The early warning state declaration will not cause immediate market steering measures since the Finnish gas market is functioning normally at the time the decision of the declaration is done.

Gasgrid Finland informs the market of all market related events without delay with UMM-messages at Get Baltic’s platform.
