Accessibility statement
Gasgrid strives to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).
This accessibility statement applies to the gasgrid.fi website.
Accessibility status
The gasgrid.fi website complies in part with the WCAG (v. 2.1 and 2.2) success criteria at level AA. The deficiencies identified are described later in this statement.
Development of the gasgrid.fi website is a continuous process in which Gasgrid strives to correct all identified deficiencies, with the aim of providing a good user experience for all users.
Non-accessible content, deficiencies detected in accessibility
Content and functions where accessibility deficiencies have been detected are regularly corrected. The following content or functionality is not yet fully compliant.
- the website may contain text placed on top of the image, making it difficult to detect the text
- the website may contain individual texts and/or links that do not have a sufficient colour contrast to the background
- mixed language may occur on the website:
- due to the technology of the system, some news articles in languages other than Finnish may be marked as Finnish as the language of the page
- form and interface controls may have English descriptive texts for assistive technologies
- on the website, the information on column headings provided by some tables for assistive technologies may be difficult to understand
- some files that can be downloaded from the website are not accessible to assistive technologies
- when increasing the size of the text on the website to 200%, parts of the text may overlap in some cases or remain invisible outside the screen, making it difficult to read
- the logo link in the website menu (link to the homepage) and the search box in the footer are missing a descriptive text for assistive technologies
- some images on the website may lack an alternative description (alt text) corresponding to the meaning of the image
- the active element of the forms on the website’s Give us feedback -page may have insufficient contrast, making it problematic to complete and submit the form using the keyboard alone
Preparation of this accessibility statement
The content of this statement is based on an assessment of the website’s accessibility carried out by an external expert organisation in October 2022 and an audit of the corrections made in March 2025.
This statement was prepared on 11 March 2025.
The statement is updated in conjunction with website modification and correction or at least annually.
Correction of deficiencies detected
Development of the gasgrid.fi website and technology is continuous, and we strive to correct any deficiencies where possible.
