Updated FSRU terminal rules confirmed by the Finnish Energy Authority

As the competent authority, the Finnish Energy Authority has confirmed the terminal rules of Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy (FLTF). FLTF is a 100 % subsidiary of Gasgrid Finland Oy.

The rules have been created to ensure equal and non-discriminatory access to terminal capacity for all market participants.

The approval was preceded by a public hearing, during which the Finnish Energy Authority received comments and questions about the terminal rules and Reloading Service. Clarifications and other changes were made based on the comments and questions to the rules in order to meet users’ needs better.

“The approval of the terminal rules is second step to improve service provision of the terminal to the LNG markets in Baltics, Finland and Sweden. New Reloading service will allow terminal users to choose according to their preference how to off-take LNG from the terminal, either as regasified LNG into the transmission network or in parcels as reloaded LNG into small scale vessels. Reloading service will improve the security of supply to the areas where there is no pipeline coverage and will bring energy to the off-grid  consumers”, says Satu Mattila, CEO of the Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy.

The approved terminal rules, terms & conditions and contracts can be found on Gasgrid Finland’s website: Terminal rules, terms & conditions and contracts.
