The Finnish Energy Authority has launched a consultation on the Approval of the Terms and Conditions of Balticconnector capacity allocation mechanism – consultation ends on July 4th of 2024

The Finnish Energy Authority launched a consultation on the approval of the terms and conditions of Balticconnector capacity allocation mechanism. Market participants may submit opinions to the Finnish Energy Authority by July 4th, 2024, 4:15 PM by email to kirjaamo@energiavirasto.fi and as a copy to buket.hertti@energiavirasto.com. The diary number 3433/050303/2023 must be included in the message.

The Finnish Energy Authority organized a consultation regarding the proposed changes to the terms and conditions of Balticconnector capacity allocation mechanism between March 18th and April 5th, 2024. Based on the discussions with the Finnish Energy Authority and market participants, Gasgrid Finland has re-evaluated the proposed changes regarding the shipper group concept. As a result, Gasgrid sees that it is unable to ensure continuous supervision of the shipper groups as required by the Energy Authority and therefore in order to ensure equal application of the terms and conditions for all market participants, Gasgrid has decided to remove the shipper group concept from the terms and conditions. Other proposed changes are included in the suggested terms and conditions.
