One of the focus areas of Gastrid’s strategy is to develop the company’s success factors for the implementation of hydrogen as well as a clean-gas market and sectoral integration. In accordance with our strategy guidelines, the Management Team will be strengthened in terms of hydrogen development, and Sara Kärki, who previously served as Head of Strategic Analysis and RDI, will become part of the Management Team as of 1.1.2023. Sara is responsible for the new Hydrogen Development unit and also acts as the Chief Operating Officer of the newly established Gasgrid Vetyverkot Oy.

The project development model created for hydrogen development can be used to develop and implement hydrogen networks of different sizes together with customers, as well as to implement strategic large-scale infrastructure development projects in cooperation with Transmission System Operators in neighboring countries. In addition, as of 1.1.2023, Esa Hallivuori will become the member of the Management Team responsible for the Transmission Business and on 9.1.2023, Satu Mattila, CEO of Gasgrid Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy, will join the extended Management Team as previously announced.

Janne Grönlund will continue as head of the Transmission Platform unit, Petri Dahlström will continue as head of the Finance and Support functions, and Virve Wright as head of the Communications, Sustainability (incl. security) and Public Relations unit. The CEO of the company is Olli Sipilä.

Gasgrid Vetyverkot Oy was established at the end of 2022 and its CEO is Olli Sipilä and its Chief Operating Officer is Sara Kärki. The operations of Gasgrid Vetyverkot Oy will be launched immediately from the beginning of the year 2023, and its composition and Board of Directors will be announced later.
