Maintenance work in the Latvian gas transmission system between 1 May and 20 June 2020 has a potential effect to the capacities of the Balticconnector gas interconnector. The exact effects are currently being estimated.
The Latvian gas transmission system operator Conexus Baltic Grid has on 19 March unilaterally published an updated maintenance plan on their website. Based on the maintenance plan we can interpret an outage on the Latvian network from 1 May to 20 June, which is estimated to have a major effect on Balticconnector capacity. Gasgrid Finland does not have detailed information on the available capacity of the Latvian and Estonian transmission networks during the maintenance. Conexus Baltic Grid will communicate more details about the situation. Gasgrid Finland is currently investigating the impact of the outage on the Finnish transmission system and Balticconnector.
