Gasgrid Finland’s management, i.e., operating system certification project started in autumn 2020. We clarified our goals, trained the entire personnel and developed processes in a customer-oriented manner. During the spring, we performed internal assessments, a management review, updates to policies and guidelines, as well as a risk reviews, among other things. The entire personnel participated in the work, and Innotiimi-ICG was our partner in process development.
The systems certified by Gasgrid Finland are quality ISO 9001:2015, safety ISO 45001:2018, environment ISO 14001:2015, as well as the national energy efficiency system ETJ+. In April, an external auditor assessed the compliance of the company’s entire operations with the standards, and the results were excellent. Gasgrid Finland received only one minor nonconformity, a lot of positive feedback, and the performance of the operations was the highest possible. The certification process was completed within the planned schedule, by the end of June 2021.
The certified management system is particularly important for Gasgrid Finland, because it creates a good basis for a gas transmission pipeline self-inspection right to be applied for from the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency TUKES. Additionally, it has been important in the development work to bring added value to the customer, in other words, secure, safe and sustainable gas transmission and services in accordance with the principles of continuous improvement.
