Gasgrid Finland has published the technical capacities of Balticconnector on a weekly basis due to the uncertainty in the commissioning of compressor stations in Estonia. With the introduction of the Puiatu compressor station and the consequent increase in technical capacity, Gasgrid will not publish a separate press release about next week’s capacities.
Primary information on the technical capacities of Balticconnector can be found through GET Baltic’s UMM platform, until the Paldiski compressor station has also been commissioned. After commissioning of Paldiski compressor station, the intention is to publish Balticconnector’s technical capacities through the ENTSOG (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas) transparency platform.

In the future, Balticconnector will comply with the technical capacity published on the GET Baltic’s UMM platform. If the amount of technical capacity to be set on the market has to be reduced due to deviations in the transmission system, market participants will be notified of these by a separate UMM message. The impacts on the deviations will also be updated in a UMM message showing the initial monthly technical capacities for the next 24 months.
Balticconnector capacity to the direction EE-FI for the period of 10.05.2021 – 31.05.2021 will be 45 600 000 kWh/day.
Balticconnector capacity to the direction FI-EE for the period of 10.05.2021 – 31.05.2021 will be 12 000 000 kWh/day.
