The Energy Authority has launched consultations on amending terms and conditions of Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy

The Finnish Energy Authority (Energiavirasto) will carry out a consultation on the application to amend the terms and conditions made by Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy for the Energy Authority. The consultation is open until the 28th of May 2024 16.15 (Finnish time).

Current terminal rules are valid until 1.10.2024, and the latest set of rules approved by the Energy Authority for the last quarter of 2024 are valid from 1.10.2024 to 1.1.2025. As Floating LNG Terminal Finland Oy aims to move its commercial operations from a gas year to a calendar year-based model after Q4/2024 these updated rules are sought for approval for the period 1.1.2025 to 1.1.2026.

During this winter and the exceptional Balticconnector circumstances, FLTF has closely cooperated with its stakeholders. This past winter has been an important lesson for FLTF, the terminal users, and suppliers on what kind of services could be offered at the Inkoo terminal in the future. There have been regular discussions with market participants about possible improvements and services that would help the market. Due to this, the proposed rules include new services that are set to answer the requests of the market participants for example through extra flexibility.
