The commercial commissioning of the Hamina LNG terminal approaches – Gasgrid Finland has made the entry capacity from the LNG terminal to the Finnish gas system available

The commercial commissioning of the Hamina LNG terminal approaches offering market participants a new import route for gas supplies. The commissioning is scheduled to take place on 1 October 2022 at 07:00 am. Gasgrid Finland offers shippers entry capacity from the LNG terminal to the Finnish gas system. If shippers wish to utilize Hamina LNG terminal from 1 October, entry capacity bookings and nominations must be submitted by the end of September in accordance with market rules. 

Gasgrid Finland offers entry capacity in accordance with the current market rules applying the First-Come-First-Served principle. According to the terminal rules published by Hamina LNG Oy, the terminal regasification capacity from the LNG terminal to the Finnish gas system will be 4 800 MWh/day. Gasgrid Finland offers market participants entry capacity to the Finnish gas system without restrictions enabling flexible booking periods for standard capacity product (annual, quarterly, monthly, daily and within-day capacity product) bookings. The prices of entry capacity products observe the applicable transmission and service price list.
