Accessibility Statement

Gasgrid strives to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). This accessibility statement applies to the gasgrid.fi website.

Accessibility status

The gasgrid.fi website largely complies with the WCAG (2.2) success criteria at level AA. The identified deficiencies are described later in this statement.

Development of the gasgrid.fi website is a continuous process in which Gasgrid strives to remedy identified deficiencies, with the aim of providing an accessible and good user experience for all users to the extent reasonably possible.

Non‑accessible content, identified accessibility deficiencies

Content and functions where accessibility deficiencies have been identified are regularly corrected. The following content or functionality is not yet fully compliant:

  • the website may contain text placed on top of images, making the text difficult to perceive
  • videos published on the website may not be accessible
  • the website may contain individual texts and/or links whose colour contrast with the background is insufficient, for example due to Gasgrid’s pink brand colour
  • form and user interface controls may have descriptive texts for assistive technologies in English
  • some files available for download from the website (PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) are not accessible to assistive technologies
  • when the text on the website is enlarged to 200 %, parts of the text may in some cases overlap or remain invisible outside the screen, making reading difficult
  • some images on the website may lack an alternative description corresponding to the meaning of the image (alt text)

Preparation of this accessibility statement

The content of this statement is based on an assessment of the website’s accessibility carried out by an external expert organisation on 16 February 2026. The assessment was conducted using the Webwarden tool.

The statement is updated in connection with website modification and corrective actions or at least once a year.

Remedying identified deficiencies

Development of the gasgrid.fi website and its underlying technology is ongoing, and identified deficiencies are remedied where possible.

Accessibility supervision

If you do not receive a response to your request or are not satisfied with the response, you may submit a complaint to the accessibility supervision authority. The supervision authority is the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s Digital Accessibility and Accessibility Supervision Unit. Information on your rights and how complaints are handled is available on the authority’s website.
