Inkoo LNG Terminal offers available Spot capacity for December 2023 and Q1 2024 with revised Joint Use conditions – Spot capacity invitation window open on 27 October 2023

Floating LNG Terminal Finland, a 100 % subsidiary of Gasgrid Finland, as the terminal operator for the FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) vessel Exemplar, moored in the port of Inkoo since December 2022, will due to unavailability of Balticconnector and changed market conditions offer available free capacity for the period 14 December until 6 April with temporary Joint Use Rules approved by Energy Authority applying Joint use for the full period.

Current Late Spot Slots in Q4 2023 shall be converted to Spot Slots and Joint Use principle shall apply for the full period starting from 14th of December until 6th of April 2024.

Six (6) Spot Slots are available for allocation. One Spot Slot for March has been reserved during the Annual Capacity Allocation and has been accommodated into the updated Schedule (March II slot).

The slot sizes for the winter period are calculated and based on 800GWh cargoes. The delivery windows have been matched to fit said 800GWh cargoes based on the assessed gas usage with a flat average profile. Terminal Users may request to deliver different cargo sizes which do not meet the original 800 GWh delivery volume. The terminal Operator will accommodate such requests as possible, and shall evaluate such requests case by case and final decision will be at Terminal Operators sole discretion. In such case all cost not limited to demurrage will be at Terminal Users responsibility. The minimum cargo size cannot be below the Terminal Users maximum net borrowed amount towards other Joint Terminal Users.

Spot capacity invitation for gas year 2023/2024 (14th December until 6th of April)

Floating LNG terminal Finland opens the Spot Allocation Procedure for Q4 2023 and Q1, 2024 and requests interested parties to submit their Spot Allocation Requests from  27 October 2023 12:00 Finnish Time until 30 October 2023 15:00 Finnish Time.

Applicants are asked to define the number of requested slots and identify which slots they are requesting in a priority order in their booking request.

In case Spot Slot Requests exceed the available number of slots the Terminal Operator will refer to the same method used for Annual Capacity Allocation Congestion Management as described in the Terminal Rules clause 8.4. If an applicant in the Congestion Management does not get all requested slots the one(s) lowest on the priority lists will be dropped from consideration.

If two or more requests for the same Scheduled Slot fulfil the conditions, the Terminal Operator shall prioritize the Applicant on a first-come-first-served basis, according to the timestamp of the request email. In this case disputed slot(s) will be allocated in rounds where the Applicant with the earliest timestamp on their request will have the first choice to choose one (1) slot per round. The order thereafter for other applicants will also be determined based on the timestamp of the request. Uncontested slots with only one Applicant will be outside of this method. This method will be applied until all requested slots are allocated to the Applicants.

The terminal operator aims to have slots allocated as soon as possible.

If slots remain unsold after the initial capacity booking period, they will be available on a first-come-first-served-basis.

Terminal capacity allocation request form and relevant documentation should be submitted as described in Annex 8, clause 5 of the terminal rules by email to rasmus.hellman@gasgrid.fi and fltf@gasgrid.fi.
